Within this timeframe, all Spotify tracks, albums, and playlists are taken into consideration to calculate your music taste and generate your Spotify wrapped stats.

The annual feature is then available for users between December 1st - 31st.

How To View Your Old Spotify Wrapped Data

To access your previous music preferences, click any of the links below while logged into your Spotify account.

How To Turn On Private Listening Mode

If you want to listen to music without it being included in your Spotify Wrapped data, you can turn on Private mode.

On Desktop

1. Click your profile picture on the top right.

2. Click Private session.

A padlock icon on your profile picture means you're in Private mode.

To end a Private Session, repeat the steps above to toggle Private off.

NOTE: A Private session lasts 6 hours, but may end earlier if you restart Spotify.

On Mobile

1. Tap Home 

2. Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen.

3. Tap Settings and privacy 

4. Under Social, toggle Private Session on.

To end a Private Session, repeat the steps above to toggle Private off.

Factors That Influence Your Spotify Wrapped Data

While Spotify isn't entirely transparent on how it calculates a user's listening personality, Spotify users can expect to have the following elements taken into consideration:

• Podcasts

Keep in mind that Spotify wrapped includes only media listened to outside of Private mode. Songs, albums, and podcasts listened to when Private mode is toggled on do not impact a user's music personality data.
