Dealing with unwanted users following your Twitter account?
If your account is public, you'll have to manually remove followers from your Twitter followers list.
Alternatively, you can make your account private, which means you'll manually have to approve or reject any follow requests. Here's how...
How To Remove Followers
Up until recently, Twitter didn't have a dedicated way to remove followers, forcing users to soft block unwanted followers. However, you can now remove random people from your follower list in just a few quick steps.
On Desktop
Open Twitter and visit your Twitter profile page by clicking your profile icon on the bottom left or selecting the Profile option in the left sidebar.
Click the Followers count that appears beneath your bio.
Click the Followers tab to the right of the Verified Followers tab.
Click the three dots to the right of the user you wish to remove.
Click Remove Follower and confirm your choice.
On Mobile
Currently there is no method for removing unwanted followers via Twitter mobile, other than blocking their account, which you can learn how to do below.
