The simplest way to create a hyperlink embed on Discord is to simply paste the link that you wish to share in your channel or DM.

Once you send the message, it will automatically become an embedded link.

You can do this on both desktop or the Discord mobile app.

Hyperlinks Not Showing Up As Discord Embeds?

If you've shared a Discord hyperlink but you're not seeing the embed title or image, it might be due to: the server settings, the URL that you input, or your internet connection.

Server Settings & Permissions

In some servers, users aren't allowed to sent Discord messages with embed links - they will appear as plain long links. This cannot be worked around and relies on server permissions.

You can turn on embed permissions by following the steps below:

Visit your server and click the server title on the top left. Click Server Settings.

From here, click Roles.

Click Default Permissions.

Toggle Embed Links ON.

Your URL Has Issues

If the URL you input is having technical issues then it will not be able to grab embed metadata, and will not appear as a visually appealing embed message.

Internet Connection

If your internet connection is weak, the embed link may not load and will appear as a plain URL. Try deleting your message and trying again.
