How Can I Remove A Song From My Spotify Local Files Section?
There are no Spotify settings from removing local files, since these are stored on your device. You'll have to either remove the individual file from your device, thereby removing it from your Spotify local files section, or turn off the local files feature altogether by following the steps below.
How To Turn Off Local File Scanning
Click your profile picture on the top right corner and select Settings.
Under Your Library, toggle Show Local Files OFF.
Local Files Are Still Appearing...
If you find that Spotify is still scanning for local files, toggle Show Local Files back ON and deselect all of the music folder locations before toggling it OFF again.
What Is The Local Files Section On Spotify?
Local files are audio files that you have stored on your device, but that aren't hosted by Spotify. You can listen to these tracks offline via Spotify.
